This was a novel that was written about ten years ago and was just recently translated into English. Viz Media has just released the novel on June 19th and I was given a review copy beforehand

What I had expected to be a fun romp of science fiction turned out to take about my mental barriers and warp into a monstrous tangle of pain, guilt, and confusion.

The only way I would recommend this book is if you are looking to mess up your mind. Seriously.
