Coming Soon March 2020: MERCY

I have been an adoring fan of Mirka Andolfo’s work ever since Unnatural. Her style is sexy, fun, and gorgeous. Now we get to add horror to that list of attributes with the upcoming mini series: Mercy. The six-issue miniseries has been described as “Penny Dreadful meets Dark Shadows”

From the press release: “Mirka Andolfo’s Mercy begins when the placid mining village of Woodsburgh is disturbed by a series of brutal murders, sending the settlement into turmoil. As the first snow covers the chaos in a white blanket, a mysterious woman in black arrives, eliciting a totally different kind of unrest. But who is Lady Hellaine, really? And what’s her secret agenda?”

“I'm so thrilled about the release of Mercy by Image,” said Andolfo. “As with every story I write and draw, there's a lot of me inside this book, and I hope the American readers will enjoy that, as they did with Unnatural!”

What is that growing from the skull?! Who is this dark figure? Who is he reaching for? Is it the main heroine, Lady Hellaine? Judging from the blood splatter, I’m pretty sure this will not be a gross comic full of bloody flesh (I hope). I get more of an unsettling horror vibe. Like a Sabrina (from the flavor of Madame Satan) and Stranger Things vibe from these sneak previews alone.

There is even a live action video to enjoy as we all wait eagerly for the series!
