News from Crunchyroll Expo 2022
SoCal has Anime Expo, Norcal has Crunchyroll Expo (CRX).
From August 5 to 7, thousands of anime fans streamed through the doors of San Jose McEnery Convention center to revel in all things anime during the sold out CRX. These were just some of the industry news curated from over the weekend:
HOTTEST ANIME: Chainsaw Man
The first inkling that something to do with chainsaws seemed to be popular was on the shopping district floor. Fans were constantly lining up for the interactive Chainsaw Man photo-op. Cosplayers with a chainsaw for a head and arms constantly startled me. Apparently, the fall’s most-anticipated horror series is appropriately named Chainsaw Man. This horror series will be coming October 2022 to fans courtesy of MAPPA studios.
