Premise: Raylene Watts (Cynthia Erivo) never planned on driving an eighteen-wheeler full time. But in managing two young children, a mess of debts, and an ailing elderly father, subbing in on her father’s rig and hauling trailers for the mega-fleet has become her only means of survival. So when Ray finds herself stranded at a sketchy truck stop without a paying gig to get her home, she turns to a discreet client of her father’s and picks up a refrigerated trailer bound for Chicago.
