Atomic Junkshop Special: Double Feature

It has been a hectic couple of weeks with attending DesignerCon and participating in Inktober and NanoWrimo (posts coming soon!) so I have been negligent in updating!

Atomic Junkshop is another website that I occasionally contribute to. As the focus is more on a nostalgic basis, I decided to share something cool that connected something modern to something from the past.

Thanks to attending Sarah Khun's seriously amazing book launch party for her sequel, I was intrigued to bypass my distaste for the cover and check out the first book, Heroine Complex. In short, I absolutely this light but heartfelt read.  In a world where superheroes exist and acknowledged as celebrities, Aveda Jupiter is the bad ass protector of San Francisco. With her faithful friend, Evie Tanaka. In the midst of fighting demonic forms of cupcakes, their friendshiop becomes tested. Not even  their long history of bonding over the action movie, "The Heroic Trio"  is enough.

To my surprise and happiness, The Heroic Trio is an actual movie. A very cheesy, martial arts movie drenched in 90s aesthetic but I loved it!

Check out the article at Atomic Junkshop HERE for how much I love it....
